Moose Tracker is designed and built by Kurtis Alexander.

Sound and music

All demo songs, presets and instruments are original to Moose Tracker, created by Kurtis Alexander; every built-in sound is synthesized from scratch by the Moose Tracker engine (the app contains no recorded samples of its own), except "Just a Closer Walk", which uses a traditional melody (our arrangement is original), and the two Bach inventions below. See the Content license.

Bach inventions

"Invention No. 1 (BWV 772)" and "Invention No. 8 (BWV 779)" are by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750), whose compositions are in the public domain. The arrangements in Moose Tracker (voices, tempo, swing, timing, percussion, count-in) are original to Kurtis Alexander. They are credited J. S. Bach (public domain), arr. The Moose and are free to use under the Content license.

Open-source software

The website includes fflate (MIT), the Silkscreen and JetBrains Mono fonts (SIL OFL 1.1) and, for MP3 export, lamejs (LGPL v3). Opus export uses your browser's built-in encoder. The optional audio render service makes Ogg Vorbis files with libvorbis and libogg (BSD) on our servers. Names, versions and license texts are in the Third-party notices.
