This page says what you can do with the songs, sounds and audio that Moose Tracker contains or produces. Short version: the demo songs, presets, instruments and engine sounds are dedicated to the public domain (CC0), and music you make is yours. What this does not cover is in section 3.

1. Demo songs, presets, instruments and engine sounds

To the extent possible under law, Kurtis Alexander has dedicated to the public domain, under the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal Public Domain Dedication, all copyright and related rights in the Moose Tracker demo songs, presets, instruments and the sounds the Moose Tracker engine produces ("Moose Assets"). In plain words: use them for anything, including commercial use, with no payment, no permission and no attribution. Copy, change, mix, perform, record, distribute and sell them. Credit such as "made with Moose Tracker" is appreciated, never required. This dedication is permanent and cannot be withdrawn.

Moose Assets do not include the Moose Tracker software, engine code or source code (see the Terms of Use), the Moose Tracker name and logo, or third-party material such as fonts and libraries.

2. Music you create is yours

Songs, patterns, instruments and settings you create belong to you, and so does the audio you export or render from them. We claim no ownership of them and get no license to them. The website never receives them: they stay on your device, in files you save, or in share links you send (see Privacy). When an assistant or program uses the optional render service, the audio file exists in our storage only temporarily (deleted after about 2 hours) so it can be downloaded (see Privacy). We do not use songs or audio that pass through the Service to train any model.

3. What this does not cover

(a) Material you import (your own samples, recordings, MIDI files, tracker modules or anything else) remains subject to its owners' rights, and you are responsible for having permission to use and publish it.
(b) Name and logo. The Moose Tracker name and logo are our brand: using the sounds does not give you the right to use the name or logo, or to say that we endorse you or your work.
(c) "Just a Closer Walk" and the two Bach inventions. Our arrangements are Moose Assets. The underlying melody and compositions are older works that we believe to be free of copyright, but we make no promise about them and no statement about other arrangements or recordings of the same pieces.
(d) Third-party components are under their own licenses, listed in the Third-party notices.

4. No warranty

As with the rest of the Service, sounds, songs and exports are provided "as is" without warranty (see Terms of Use, sections 6 and 7). We created the demo songs, presets and sounds ourselves, apart from the public-domain and traditional material noted above, but we cannot promise that no one will ever claim a similarity. If you publish music commercially, you are responsible for your own releases.
